Jumper Jarrett senses the end is near
IT has been three years since long jumper Jovanee Jarrett has had a full season, and at 31 years old and with a string of injuries, she senses the end is near.
But she is determined to fight, hopefully hanging on for at least one more season before making a decision whether or not to hang up her jumping spikes and walk away for good.
Jarrett represented Jamaica at the IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, but managed a best jump of m, well below her seasons best m while she battled a shoulder injury.
The former Auburn University star — who also represented Jamaica at all levels as well as competing at the IAAF World Championships in Berlin, Germany, and the IAAF World Indoors in Doha, Qatar — is not ready to give up.
